Day seven of the Cannes Film Festival started on a stylish note, with Christina Hendricks arriving for the Lost River photo call in Jack Vartanian ear cuffs. And from there on in, high fashion was most definitely in the air.
For the premiere of Two Days, One Night, the star of the film, Marion Cotillard, wore one of my favourite looks from the Cannes red carpet so far: a dip-hem chiffon Dior dress and diamond chain-link necklace by Chopard. Following behind her was a procession of supermodels, including Eva Herzigova and Alessandra Ambrosio, their couture dresses paired with hundreds of carats of diamond Chopard jewellery, giving a glimpse of the glamour for which the Cannes Film Festival is renowned.
As evening fell, Chanel and Vanity Fair France hosted an exclusive dinner at Tetou restaurant, where Lily Allen stole the show in a stunning tweed Chanel haute couture dress, perfectly accessorised, as always, with Chanel jewels, including a pair of sapphire and diamond 'Fontaine' earrings.
But the night belonged to De GRISOGONO, which hosted its annual star-studded bash, this year titled Fatale in Cannes, at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in suitably uproarious style. Hosted by the party-loving creative force behind De GRISOGONO, Fawaz Gruosi, guests included Sharon Stone, a long-time fan of the brand, who wore some of the evenings most flamboyant De GRISOGONO jewels, model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne rocking her De GRISOGONO necklace back to front, and actress and Johnny Depp's other half, Amber Heard, with plaited hair, swept to the side to best show off her emerald De GRISOGONO earrings.
