Cannes Film Festival 2014: the red carpet jewels were out in force on day seven

Day seven of the Cannes Film Festival started on a stylish note, with Christina Hendricks arriving for the Lost River photo call in Jack Vartanian ear cuffs. And from there on in, high fashion was most definitely in the air.
For the premiere of Two Days, One Night, the star of the film, Marion Cotillard, wore one of my favourite looks from the Cannes red carpet so far: a dip-hem chiffon Dior dress and diamond chain-link necklace by Chopard. Following behind her was a procession of supermodels, including Eva Herzigova and Alessandra Ambrosio, their couture dresses paired with hundreds of carats of diamond Chopard jewellery, giving a glimpse of the glamour for which the Cannes Film Festival is renowned.
As evening fell, Chanel and Vanity Fair France hosted an exclusive dinner at Tetou restaurant, where Lily Allen stole the show in a stunning tweed Chanel haute couture dress, perfectly accessorised, as always, with Chanel jewels, including a pair of sapphire and diamond 'Fontaine' earrings.
But the night belonged to De GRISOGONO, which hosted its annual star-studded bash, this year titled Fatale in Cannes, at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in suitably uproarious style. Hosted by the party-loving creative force behind De GRISOGONO, Fawaz Gruosi, guests included Sharon Stone, a long-time fan of the brand, who wore some of the evenings most flamboyant De GRISOGONO jewels, model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne rocking her De GRISOGONO necklace back to front, and actress and Johnny Depp's other half, Amber Heard, with plaited hair, swept to the side to best show off her emerald De GRISOGONO earrings.

De GRISOGONO's party at the Eden Roc hotel has long been one of the most glamorous soirees of the Cannes Film Festival. The celebrity-heavy guest list included Amber Heard in De GRISOGONO jewels.

Cara Delevingne attended De GRISOGONO's Roaring Twenties-themed Fatale in Cannes party at the Eden Roc hotel in a flapper-esque dress and De GRISOGONO jewels.

Party guest Cara Delevingne wore a De GRISOGONO pendant necklace back to front in a contemporary take on a classic 1920s look.

Sharon Stone, a regular at De GRISOGONO's Eden Roc party, dressed up her Roberto Cavalli dress with statement De GRISOGONO jewels.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley gave a chic nod to the 1920s theme in Art Deco-style emerald and diamond De GRISOGONO earrings.

Chanel hosted a dinner with Vanity Fair France at the exclusive Tetou restaurant on day seven of the Cannes Film Festival. Guest Lily Allen accessorised her quirky Chanel "bubble" dress with sapphire drop earrings, a floral ring and a delicate bracelet, all by Chanel.

Karolina Kurkova captured the essence of Chanel in a pleated tweed dress, "Couture" diamond necklace and quilted handbag, all by Chanel.

Christina Hendricks attended the Lost River photo call on day seven of the Cannes Film Festival wearing diamond Jack Vartanian ear cuffs.

Marion Cotillard chose a white diamond chain-link necklace, a cabochon-cut chalcedony ring and a sapphire ring, all by Chopard, for the premiere of Two Days, One Night on day seven of the Cannes Film Festival 2014.

Model Eva Herzigova walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a three-tier diamond necklace by Chopard featuring 76ct of fancy-cut diamonds.

Model Arlenis Sosa went for full exposure in a barely-there dress by Julien Macdonald, paired with shoulder-grazing yellow diamond chandelier earrings by Chopard.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio wore white diamonds by Chopard to complement her Atelier Versace gown on day seven of the Cannes Film Festival.

Model Liu Wen chose a pair of marquise-cut diamond drop earrings and a diamond line bracelet for the premiere of Two Days, One Night at the Cannes Film Festival.

Model Petra Nemcova wore one of the most impressive red carpet jewels of the day: a yellow and white diamond collar necklace from the Chopard Red Carpet Collection, sparkling with 145ct of diamonds.

Actress Anais Demoustier, who plays the lead in 'Bird People', walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet for the premiere of her new film wearing diamond earrings from Chaumet's 12 Vendôme collection.
